Hey, you! How's it going? Have you ever been to Tenerife? If not you should definitely go there. It's such an amazing place to spend your summer holiday. Tenerife is the biggest island of the Canary Islands, a group of volcanic islands in the Atlantic ocean. Let me tell you a bit about my trip.

I went to Tenerife this summer with my family. All in all the trip was super affordable. We stayed in the Paloma Beach Apartments (clean apartments+ a really clean community pool) in Los Cristianos (in the southern part of the island), right next to the ocean and even though we booked the luxurious suite it was way cheaper than we expected it to be. The taxi rides from and to the airport and the attractions we couldn't visit by foot were cheaper than I would have ever imagined. But the great prices don't stop there. Let me tell you about the delicious food we had for a little money. If you visit Los Cristianos be sure to check out The Good Burger cause they have the best burgers and chicken fingers ever. Next to it you'll find a dairy-free, sugar-free, homemade ice cream shop and let me tell you I've never had a better chocolate ice cream. Yuuummmm…. But that's still far from everything Tenerife has to offer. If staying in the south you'll have an amazing good weather guarantee, blue skies and temperatures between 20° and 35°C almost all year round. Plus, the clearest and nicest water (no jellyfish) and the cleanest beaches I've ever seen.

But there are way more things to do besides swimming, sunbathing and taking a long walk at the seaside in the evenings enjoying the prettiest sunsets. Not far from Los Cristianos is the biggest European aqua park called Siam Park. There are free shuttle buses taking you there. Even though the service at the entry of the park and inside are the fastest I've ever experienced I'd recommend buying the tickets online. Inside the park, you'll find some sort of water entertainment for everyone. They have the craziest waterslides you can imagine and the craziest wave simulation pool. There are various chilled activities next to food stands and crazy waterslides inside fish tanks. Another attraction to visit during the day is the Monkey Park, a huge park of endangered monkeys and other animals which you can pet, feed and take pictures with.

Are you looking for a place to go shopping? No problem, you'll be able to find everything from a high street expensive shopping area with lots of designer stores to really inexpensive little stores. Looking for a sportive activity? Take part in a crash course to learn how to surf. Sadly I didn't have enough time to try that out. Maybe next time.

If you are willing to spend a little more money and are looking for the perfect night time activity go check out Tide by Night. It's a tour of the volcano "el Teide" (the highest mountain of Spain) including a bus to take you to the top above the clouds, a three coursed meal at a fancy restaurant up there, seeing the sunset above the clouds whilst having something to drink and a guided astronomical tour of the night sky. This trip was so impressive. From the amazing landscape which looked like the surface of the moon, where a lot of famous movies were shot and the overwhelming wonders of nature to the beautiful night sky. The mount Teide is one of the only two regions worldwide where you'll not only find the ground to be integral nature reserve but also the sky being protected. That's why the sky is so clear up there you could even see the milky way. Some of the most internationally important and biggest telescopes are up there. It was seriously impressive and completely worth the money.

Still not convinced Tenerife is the perfect spot for your next holiday? There is so much more Tenerife has to offer. You really have to go see for yourself to feel the magical atmosphere of this beautiful landscape surrounded by the powerful endless ocean. It's almost like the air is electric. So, go go go! Book your flight, pack a suitcase and enjoy your time out! For now, goodbye and au revoir!
